About Marketing

First and foremost, we want you to know your questions and concerns about marketing haven’t gone unnoticed.

So, let’s talk about it.

This will be an unfiltered, no holes barred discussion of the situation.

We don’t like to focus on the past. Unfortunately, examining what went wrong in V1.0 is necessary to understand how we got to this point.

Our V1.0 investors may remember we got rid of our initial marketing team after their lackluster performance soon after launch.

We did so thinking we had the perfect solution to our marketing woes in our back pocket: a known YouTuber, who claimed to run a marketing company of over 100 people, who had invested in the project.

Unfortunately, his actions were not only useless, they were downright harmful. Case in point, he sold the tokens given to him for marketing purposes.

As we looked to V2, we spent thousands of dollars hiring multiple YouTubers/influencers like FLOZIN (who costs $6,000 alone…), Fomotion, etc. Some proved fruitful, others not so much. And some turned out to be absolute scams.

We also created content on our official Youtube channel and held numerous contests and giveaways on social media to promote V2.0’s launch.

But FUD is a powerful thing…

Much of the hype and attention our project was getting was stifled by negativity, largely over the vote on possible restrictions for the V1.0 migration the day before V2.0’s launch.

New investors shied away from our project after seeing many current investors express they had absolutely no intention of investing anything in V2.0.

To make matters worse, we personally saw that most of those who were whitelisted for the $EDG stealth launch — investors we believed would play the game as they had been asking for more details about the game and strategies — ended up selling on the public launch even with the high taxes in place.

Since then, we decided to put our marketing plan on hold and rethink the timing of things, particularly given the extreme fear surrounding the current market. As an example, BNB has dropped more than 40% since V2.0’s launch as the market as a whole has entered a bearish sentiment.

We won’t sugarcoat it: our marketing budget is quite limited after everything that has happened.

To be absolutely clear, we have no intention of giving up on marketing or the project in general. We hope we’ve illustrated that with how much effort we put into the redesign and rebranding of our ecosystem.

We’re hard at work developing the planned features — $EDG staking, $DMC launch, NFT mint, NFT staking — perfecting them so we can use them as a way to use our limited budget to market Defi Empire Games in a way that is fruitful without being too costly.

In the meantime, please help spread the word about our project — shill it in Telegram channels, Discord servers and to your favorite YouTubers. Retweet our tweets and share our articles with your friends and followers. Anything you can do will help!

Finally, we want to say thank you to those of you who have remained supportive of the project and optimistic for the future. We promise your optimism is not misplaced!

We’ll be releasing more details about $EDG staking and the other planned features in the coming days, so make sure you stay in the loop by joining our Discord and Telegram channels if you haven’t done so already!

Stay tuned, Adventurers.
